Areas I Cover
Hi, I’m Megan 😊 I’m Keighley born and bred, and I lived in Skipton for many years, so this corner of Yorkshire (and just over the border into Lancashire) really does feel like home. I know the stone terraces, the village semis, the commuter towns and the Dales cottages, and I know the questions that come with them.
I help people buy their first home, move, remortgage and invest in buy to let across the towns and villages below. All my appointments are by phone, video call or WhatsApp, never face to face, so wherever you are, you can chat to me from your sofa at a time that suits you.

Craven and the Dales
- Skipton – the Gateway to the Dales and where I spent many years. From terraces near the canal to family homes on the edge of town, I know Skipton well.
- Settle – a lovely market town on the Settle–Carlisle line, with characterful stone cottages and homes in the villages around it.
- Gargrave – a popular village between Skipton and the Dales, with the canal running through it. Great for families and commuters alike.
- Grassington – the heart of Upper Wharfedale. Older stone properties here can need a little more thought with lenders, and I’ll talk you through it.
- Cross Hills – along with Glusburn and Sutton-in-Craven, a handy spot on the A629 between Skipton and Keighley.
- Barnoldswick – “Barlick” sits on the Craven and Pendle border, with plenty of terraced homes that make a good first step onto the ladder.
- Earby – a friendly small town on the edge of the Dales, close to Barnoldswick and handy for both Skipton and Colne.
Airedale and Worth Valley
- Keighley – my home town! Lots of stone terraces, family homes and new builds, and a station on the Airedale Line.
- Silsden – a growing town just across the valley from Steeton, popular with families wanting village life within easy reach of Keighley and Skipton.
- Steeton – with Eastburn, a commuter favourite thanks to its station on the Airedale Line.
- Bingley – a canal town with a real mix of homes, from Victorian terraces to larger family houses, with easy links to Bradford and Leeds.
- Haworth – Brontë country, with cobbled streets and older stone cottages that lenders look at individually. I’ll help you prepare for the survey.
Wharfedale
- Ilkley – a beautiful spa town on the edge of the moor, with Victorian and Edwardian stone homes and plenty of commuters.
- Otley – a busy market town with a strong community feel, popular with people working in Leeds.
- Addingham – a pretty village between Ilkley and Skipton, with a mix of cottages and family homes.
- Burley-in-Wharfedale – a village with its own station on the Wharfedale Line, popular with families and commuters.
Pendle and the cities
- Colne – just over the border in Lancashire, with terraced homes, family houses and a station linking to Burnley and beyond.
- Nelson – a town with lots of terraced homes, often a good place to buy your first home or a buy-to-let property.
- Bradford – a big, varied market, from first-time buyer terraces to larger family homes and investment properties.
- Leeds – city-centre apartments, suburban semis and everything in between. Lots of my clients work in Leeds and buy out in the Aire Valley or Wharfedale too.
Not on the list? Don’t worry, because appointments are remote, so I can help you wherever you’re buying in the UK.
How I can help, wherever you are
- First-time buyers: I’ll work out roughly what you could borrow and explain every step, from your Decision in Principle to getting the keys.
- Home movers: upsizing, downsizing or moving to a new village, I’ll help you line up your sale and purchase.
- Remortgaging: I’ll compare staying with your current lender against switching, so you can decide what’s right for you.
- Buy to let: first rental or growing portfolio, I’ll look at lenders’ rental and affordability criteria with you.
- Bad credit and self-employed: I’ll look at your situation without judgement and be honest about your options. I’ll never promise an outcome.
- Protection: life insurance, critical illness cover and income protection. As with all insurance policies, conditions and exclusions will apply.
I work with a panel of over 90 lenders and insurers. I’m not a lender myself, so my job is to find a mortgage that suits you from that panel, not to sell you one bank’s products.
Why choose a local mortgage broker?
- I know the area. Growing up in Keighley and living in Skipton for years means I understand the local housing, from old stone terraces to new-build estates.
- One person from start to finish. You’ll deal with me, not a call centre, and I’ll chase lenders, solicitors and estate agents so you don’t have to.
- Easy to talk to. Phone, video call or WhatsApp, whatever suits you. No need to take time off work!
Our initial mortgage consultations and quotes are free with no obligation. There may be a fee for arranging a mortgage and the precise amount will depend on your circumstances. This will typically be £395 for a purchase for Residential Mortgage and BTL Mortgage and £195 re-mortgage.
Ready to chat?
Whether you’re buying in the Dales, the Aire Valley, Wharfedale, Pendle or the city, I’d love to help 😊
